Ileana

It’s been a much speculated topic as to whether Ileana would play the female lead in the Tamil and Telugu remakes of Hindi blockbuster ‘3 Idiots’, both to be directed by Shankar.

And it has now been confirmed that the top actress of Tollywood would be part of the project. Sources have it that Ileana has signed on the dotted lines and is happy about working with Shankar.

“She is equally thrilled to share the screen space with Vijay in the Tamil version and with Mahesh Babu in Telugu. He has acted in ‘Pokkiri’ opposite Mahesh which became a runaway hi,” sources add.

Shankar, meanwhile, is expected to start shooting in the middle of November. While Vijay is confirmed for Aamir Khan’s role in the Tamil version, Jeeva and Siddarth are expected to be roped in for the other two lead roles.
